Conversation Series: Perspectives on Our History

Conversation Series: Perspectives on Our History

In March 2021, the University hosted three online forums as part of its Baylor Conversation Series. “Perspectives on Our History” began with a broad look at slavery in America and narrowed the focus to examine slavery in Texas and the relationship between slavery and Baptist life. The series concluded with a look at slavery and the founding of Baylor University and the Commission’s work to fulfill its charge to provide recommendations for how best to communicate and reflect the complete history of the University. Each Conversation featured multiple participants and provided an opportunity for viewers to submit questions about the subject matter. All of the events were recorded and are available for viewing.
